This entrance way opens into a future bamboo garden in a secluded west coast forest. The arbour was designed to reflect a traditional Japanese style, with a large 4″ in diameter piece of bamboo sitting just below the top piece. All wood is salvaged red cedar, and has been hand split to allow for the natural curves and twists of the cedar, enhancing the simplicity of the design. The gates have a few pieces of bamboo in the panels, which continue the pattern of the whole project.
