Rosemarkie Sign

150 150 Thuja Wood Art - Reclaimed Cedar Furniture Wood Art Vancouver Victoria Gulf Islands British Columbia

This address sign features a pre-Celtic design requested by the clients.  It was decided that an embossed carving would be a more appropriate way of creating the various lines and curves of the design, and so when constructing the boards for the sign face, a thicker middle piece was selected to allow for the cutting away of the carved area.  Constructed with hand split, salvaged red cedar and mortise and tenon joinery, this sign was then installed with rebar and flat sandstone rocks.
