Project Details

This side gate is made from salvaged red cedar, hand split and constructed with mortise and tenon joinery. All the posts are mounted on saddles and set into concrete to keep the posts off the ground. This gate is next to a set of driveway gates to allow for vehicle access, and a stretch of fencing continues down the side of the property. The custon hardware was made by Thistle Rock Forge on Salt Spring Island.
