Project Details
These driveway gates are made from salvaged red cedar, hand split and constructed with mortise and tenon joinery. All the posts are mounted on saddles and set into concrete to keep the posts off the ground. A pedestrian gate allows for quick access, and the fencing continues along the side of the driveway, connecting to the neighbours' gate. The custon hardware was made by Thistle Rock Forge on Salt Spring Island.
