Here is a small enclosure for an herb garden, accessible from the existing deck of the house. All the wood is salvaged cedar split by hand, with posts set on saddles to protect the wood from moisture. The pickets are spaced lightly, topped by a curving line under the uppermost rail. The back side of the enclosure has tighter placed pickets to create a bit of privacy from the neighbours. The gate sits below a simple arbour, and has a stainless steel sprung gate latch made locally by Stainless By Design. The terraced rock beds inside will be planted with various herbs.
